This page is intended for like-minded couples to enjoy child free breaks with ideas for optional daily content perhaps with friends and associates who would enjoy Group Travel in Rye. We will work with you to craft the experience you want for an enjoyable few days in the Rye Bay area.

Arrival Day
You are invited to arrive anytime from 2pm, we will host a drinks reception from 15:00 to 17:00, this offers a chance to meet your hosts, get your bearings and engage with fellow Guests.

Guests are advised to make their own arrangements for evening meals from a list of all restaurants in the area some as close as a few hundred yards, we will be pleased to discuss your preferences and assist.

After a relaxed breakfast including “Bubbles” various excursions would be available by prior arrangement not limited to

  • Rye Harbour Nature Reserve with optional guided tour subject to availability
  • Guided walk around the Ancient Cinque port of Rye with the Town Crier
  • Climb St Marys Tower to overlook Rye
  • Visit the Rye Town Model
  • Visit Rye Museum
  • Vineyard tours – Gusbourne, Charles Palmer,
  • Art Galleries in Rye and Hastings including https://www.hastingscontemporary.org/
  • Garden Tours Great Dixter, Pashley, Merriments, Sissinghurst
  • National Trust visits nearby include Lamb House in Rye, Bodiam Castle,
  • Castles, Camber, Leeds, Hever, Hastings, Dover
  • Port Lympne Zoo and Safari Park

  • Travel by taxi to Tenterden and join KESR, collected from Northiam after visiting Bodiam Castle.

  • 15:00 Afternoon tea at a very traditional tea room
  • 17:00 Optional drinks reception with pianist at Saltcote Place numbers dependant
  • Guests make own arrangement for evening meal

Departure day
Begins with a leisurely breakfast with Bubbles, vacation of rooms by 11am

Guests may elect to leave their cars at Saltcote Place and explore the town returning to collect vehicles by 13:00

Guest Facilities
We can accommodate up to 6 couples and single occupancy rates are available.
All rooms are Ensuite with mains pressure hot and cold water.
Parking is without charge and within gated grounds.
The gardens offer far reaching views toward Camber Sands and the English channel.
